Extremely Important for the Lifeblood of our Company - Our Shared Vision

Until people begin to contribute their vision for this company, this company will be basically "closed".

We cannot create teams without having people express what they are interested in this for and how and why, and are willing express this personal vision to others. If you need to, plagiarize existing visions! Sign yours so we know these are yours, even if partially plagiarized! Once we all have some items in our vision statements that have been plagiarized from others', we will know where the shared visions exist!

See: I AM NOT THE BOSS!!!

(...You may see me as a guide, sponsor, teacher, vision-person number one, keeper of the flame, guru, yogi or prophet, but NOT AS THE BOSS!! I am simply fulfilling my part as I see it from here as being a member of the founding team. The team is my boss, as it is all of ours!)

I've started a page each for us work on and amplify both our Shared Vision, and later our Mission Statement, and would like everybody's input immediately of your vision for what you would have this company - YOUR company! - to be able to accomplish if ANYTHING were possible - as if I gave you a Genie's Lamp with 300 wishes! - so please go and add your own visions and aspirations for this company and what it can become to the Shared Vision page!

A Little Clarification:

    • There was some confusion in how I presented this originally, causing a confusion between the concept of "Shared Vision" and "Mission Statement." What I want mostly right now are your personal visions of how you would have this company be if it were YOUR company (which it is!), so, please contribute to the Shared Vision page. From the collection and sharing of our own personal visions for what this company could and would be ideally for each of you personally, we can then assemble a Shared Vision - which is not something imposed upon one from "on high" (which never works) but is rather a vision each of us can hold and share as being a very personal vision of the possibilities of this company - directions where perhaps we could all see it going - and the scope of its effect - from its effects locally to its effects upon the entire world. (Go Ahead and Think Microcosm to Macrocosm! Plagiarize Other's Ideas!).

    • Tennill and I have already written a lot down for a company "Mission Statement" sort of thing to be used in our marketing efforts, so check it out, too! A Mission Statement is typically used as a marketing tool to help express an entire company's or even a project team's direction and focus, and is also used when applying for funding and loans from banks, or perhaps to help attract people to work on a project team being formed or needing new team members.

    • But this Personal and Shared Vision discussed above is a larger thing, and is yours, something that you yourself "own", which hopefully you can also convince others to "buy into", plagiarize, and thus share with you as part of their own personal vision for the company, each one expressing their individual feeling of their "fit" within it. This will eventually lead to a accumulated Shared Vision that we can all feel strongly about. This Shared Vision is and will be a growing and changing document based upon each person's new ideas, new project proposals, and will perpetually expand as new projects and even entire divisions develop within the company's flat-lattice framework (and, in fact, may be the source of such new divisions' creation!). Any questions? Then Please Call Me! 336-671-1620!

The "Messages of Hope Projects Tracker" has been moved to its

own page - the Messages of Hope Projects Tracker.)

Everyone Please Read The Following:

I have come to the awareness that to be eligible in this state for several major grants and benefits, we will have to separate the design/manufacturing aspect of the original concept from the consulting services part, and the consulting services will have to be relegated to a different company completely (a new sole proprietorship/flat lattice organization), in order to comply with the rules governing the qualifications established for these grants. (The bottom line: the company applying for such grants and benefits cannot also "provide services," but must be purely a manufacturing effort.) So, Messages of Hope, as a company, will henceforth be entirely focused upon coming up with the messages (like James and Keith have been doing so prolifically), producing the designs of the formats and presentations of the messages, and the mass-production/manufacture and distribution of the products which result.

The field is open for coming up with a new name for the consulting services company, which has not yet been formed.

* Please at least read the Criteria page

* Everything in the sidebar under "Management Stuff" should probably be of immense interest to you!

  • This no longer applies to the company's new, narrower focus as being solely a manufacturing directed company.
    • I also have created a Sales Letter to send to non-profit and not-for-profit organizations describing our services, so please take a look at that and suggest places to send it to. (Or print it out and deliver it to them yourself! 10% commission for every sale plus residuals paid for the life of the business relationship, like insurance companies do!)

A website at messagesofhope.net -IS- coming!

Presently, you can create an account for the CEO's member page at http://messagesofhope.net/CEO (the capital letters, /CEO, are important!)

Pay no attention to the Store Front "Shopping Cart" front page - that's just a place holder to keep non-CEO's out of the private forum areas for now...

(...Well, it really is a "front", like in the old movies! Get it? A Store "Front"?) (heh)

Create an account and look around! Start a Forum topic!

(If you don't like typing (or know people who don't!), the URL, http://mofh.net will also get anyone to the opening home page for the site (I bought both domains and linked mofh.net to messagesofhope.net), but they'll just get a "This site is under construction" page for right now.)

ALSO -

I am getting started on the five-year business plan projections at the Future of Messages of Hope page. This contains information of interest to all the "creatives" concerning handling of and compensation for their creations! Information on training in discussion, balancing advocacy and inquiry, and in participating in effective dialogues with each other is also discussed there.

What a SUPER meeting we had Wednesday, August 16 and again August 23rd at 5 P.M., at Elliot's Review coffee house at Trade and Seventh St. "In the Back Room at Elliot's..."

  • BTW - Check the Files area (or click the following link) for the notes Delaine typed from both the Aug. 16th and Aug. 23rd meetings!

However, this last time, the bald headed bartender was a grump and was rude to people in our group, for whatever reason. Where else can we meet?

Please "Wiki-in" times you could (or absolutely could not) be available for meetings generally or specifically.

Terry - I'm still recovering from six weeks of having a cold, so unless other people take the lead and call meetings, there is no action going to be happening until I feel well again. I'm available (even via voice and webcam) using the username terryleighbritton with Yahoo messenger. You can also email me at services@messagesofhope.net (BTW - you all can get a mailbox for that messagesofhope.net URL address!)

I am very much a geek, so I naturally can even get online via my laptop through my cellphone's modem if I'm anywhere in the world on the road, but it takes a little bit of time to connect the cell phone and laptop or other computer(s) together... so call me on my cell phone first if you need me to hook things up! 336-671-1620. This will be mosly useful only if you need to send me a file or something, since, if you can call me on my cellphone, well... WE CAN ALSO TALK!!! (I hate instant messaging - it makes 30-second conversations into five minute exercises! But... instant messaging is generally free, can be voice enabled by any user posessing a headset, is also good if you have trouble hearing over a phone; you can see the other person via webcam AND hear their voice too with the headset, and so is unambiguous when sharing information like phone numbers, email addresses, directions, and is immediate, so no "checking of the email" step is required. We can also conference and do live chat using instant messaging - even voice chat and webcam conferencing is possible!)

Delaine - Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday available after 6:30 PM / Fridays after 2PM.

Charles - Open After 12 noon each day.

James- Available any time after 3

Tennill - Anytime after noon everyday

Chad - Available monday after 3pm, tuesday after 4pm, friday after 11am, and any other night after 11pm

Kathy - After 6:30 PM most evenings and on weekends

Go ahead and feel free to edit this page. All active "C.E.O.'s" have the power!

I can "undo" any catastrophe you may cause, so don't worry about making a mistake - you cannot destroy the wiki!!)

Type into the white editing box that appears when you press the Edit Page button and save your additions! You can preview and edit or add changes in the similar window that appears at the bottom of your previewed page. Remember to save it when you're done!

Check into the Styles Help link (also appearing on the edit page's sidebar) for styling ideas.

For instance: If you need to insert a space between lines, type <nbrs> by itself on its own line. ( <nbrs> stands for "non-breaking space".)
